The City of Moorhead’s “Central City Corridor” project is an area-wide community project involving multiple potential Brownfields properties. The City of Moorhead retained Peer to perform on-going environmental assessment work for various properties utilizing grant funds obtained under the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Assessment Program.

Peer prepared a QAPP for the project and, during the initial project stage, completed Phase II Investigations for four targeted properties that included the Aggregate Industries, Corsair, BNSF/Ferrell Gas, and Muscatell Auto Sites.

The Phase II assessment work was designed to provide the City and EPA with data regarding the extent and magnitude of potential contaminants, evaluate the need for remedial actions, and prepare preliminary environmental cost estimates for redevelopment.

Peer is currently preparing Response Action Plans (RAP) for these four properties, as well as conducting Phase II Investigations and preparing RAPs for three additional properties within the Central City Corridor.
